Kirra loves reading books. Well, we read them to her so far, but she loves it... She looks at the pictures, gets all excited, and her latest fun thing to do is to close the book up while we read it... Of course, I read her books in French, and Tony reads to her in English... We'll see if this helps her learn both languages or ends up totally confusing her...

Tony's first Father's Day...

Tony had a great time on his first Father's Day! Not only did he dote on his little baby girl, but we also had a great time with Tony's parents. Hendy came down from Arroyo Grande and spent the day with us.

Kirra worked hard in preparation of her Daddy's Day: she made some foot-print ceramics at 2000 Degrees, and gave them to her Daddy and Grand-parents. She was so stoked about it.

On Monday, Kirra took her Daddy to the Zoo. It was a first for her, and slept through most of it... She did wake up for the giraffes though, and couldn't quite believe her eyes...

Nature walks at Lake Los Carneros

We've enjoyed a few sunset walks at Lake Los Carneros recently, where Kirra checks out the ducks, geese, coots, etc... She loves them (we think!).

Beach BBQ

Kirra went to her first beach BBQ this month, celebrating Marcus' birthday. Fun time at Ledbetter Beach with friends.

Self calming at its best...

Kirra found her fingers this month, and has perfected the technique of finger sucking: first, she finds her head, she then slides down the fingers past her mouth, catches a couple along the way, and off she goes sucking on them... And let's not forget the rubbing of the hair with the other hand... She's got her technique down pretty good, which you can check out on this video...

More fun on the floor...

This mobile surely is another hit for Kirra... She will stare and laugh at the designs on the card... Go figure!

Finding new activities for Kirra is always an interesting undertaking... It's either a real miss or a great hit... This one surely is a hit... Now I need to teach her how to use her hands... Check out the video:

Sling carrying

Slings have to be the best thing to carry a baby... They are super convenient when going on walks. Kirra loves it, and usually falls asleep in no time while being carried (great way to soothe her by the way!). And Daddy can carry her too, which is also fun!

May 28 = 2-month birthday...

This little girl is getting bigger... She's outgrowing many of her clothes already!

I Madonnari Festival

Tony and I took Kirra out to the I Madonnari street painting festival at the SB Mission on May 25. Kirra slept through most of it, but it was a nice day out, despite the chilly weather...
