Santa!

Oh my... Kirra met Santa for the first time this past weekend! She wasn't quite sure what to think about the big man with the silly red hat, and the big white beard! She didn't cry, but she didn't smile much either... I don't blame her though, he had some creapy eyebrows!!!

Visit from Hawaii

A few days ago, we caught up with our friends Becca and Brad and their baby boy Julian, a real cutie! We hadn't seen them in a while, now that they live in Hawaii, so it was great to see them also so happy with their new extended family.

Cool new hat...!

I finally got Kirra a new fleece hat for the winter! She loves how warm it is on her ears and cheeks... It's a little big still, but she'll grow into it...

Hanging out with the PEP babies (mom's group)

The PEP babies are all getting bigger, and more social... It's fun to see them interract!

Best face ever...

Kirra would do great in a grimacing contest... Just give her some veggies, and you'll get a great face... It's hard not to laugh when you see that! I know I'm not that great of a cook, but there is no need to make such a face when trying out my lovely cooking (pureed organic veggies: avacados, green beans, yams and carrots). Next will be fruits, which should be more appealing... Hopefully, we'll post a happier face then!

The Little Mermaid

Kirra has just finished her fall swimming session... It's been quite a trip to see her progress in the water in such a short amount of time. She has gone from not liking getting her hair wet to getting totally excited when she gets to the pool, along with a big grin that doesn't stop until we have to leave the pool itself... We are so glad that she loves the water so far. She now even swims a bit under water (well, for a second or so!). Check her out kicking her feet in this video...

Falling over with laughter...

Kirra just has the most wonderful sense of humor... Cats and small dogs especially will make her laugh. Check her out with her buddy Pekoe... She actually fell over with laughter!

I just love playing with my toys...

Kirra cracks us up whenever she has a big grin... It just goes from ear to ear... Her whole face gets into it...

Flying with Daddy.

This little girl isn't flying yet, but we went to check out Tony fly off the Elliminator (on Gibraltar Road). It was a beautiful day, although seeing the aftermath of the Tea Fire as we drove up the road was quite shocking.

8 months and... 6 teeth!

Yep, 6 teeth... (4 on top, and 2 on the bottom). Well the 6th just broke through a couple days after her 8-month birthday (Nov 28). She has a beautiful smile...

Going backwards...

There is some progress in the crawling department... Except she's going in the wrong direction!!!

Thanksgiving at Opa's

Kirra had her first Thanksgiving at Opa's in Arroyo Grande, with all the family (Oma and Billy also came along). We got treated to a wonderful feast, entirely cooked by Henry. What a treat! We also enjoyed a nice outing to Pismo beforehand, taking in some of the fresh air, and working us up an appetite...

Visiting Opa for Thanksgiving

Kirra loves hanging out and playing with her Opa... He also really enjoys her visits and loves making her laugh...

Swimming with Mommy

Usually, Tony goes with Kirra in the water for her swim lesson. This time, since Tony was sick, I went in with her and had a blast. Kirra just loves the water more and more, it's contagious... Her swimming buddies also have a great time (Luca and Nathan).

Goofing off with Daddy.

Tony thought Kirra was on to something using both her feet and hands to pick up toys, so he had to do the same thing...

New friend

During the Tea Fire, our friends Marcus and Leilani had to evacuate their house, and stayed with us, with their (almost) 2-year old son, Orion. Kirra and Orion got along great. Kirra loved showing off her BabyLegs, which Orion thought looked very hot!

First solids!

Kirra has shown interest in eating solid food, so we started with avocados (local, organic, of course!), but I can't say that she went for it too much. There was just as much coming out of the mouth than staying in there... Next were green beans, which were not that much of a hit either... We'll have to try something sweeter next time!
